Md. Moyeedul lslam



Md. Moyeedul Islam is District & Sessions Judge. He has been working on deputation as Director General with the Anti-Corruption Commission Bangladesh since March 31, 2015.

He was born in Rajshahi on June 3, 1960. His father Late Dr. Md. Nurul Islam was an MBS Doctor and mother Mrs. Monowara Islam is a housewife. Mr. Islam studied in Rajshahi Collegiate School, Rajshahi New Government Degree College and Rajshahi City College. Later he obtained L.L.B. degree from the University of Rajshahi.

He joined Bangladesh Civil Service (Judicial) Cadre as an Assistant Judge on February 15, 1988 qualifying in BCS Examination, 1985. He worked as Assistant Judge in Chilmary Upozila, Rajarhat Upozila and Sayedpur Upozila.

In 1995 he was promoted to the rank of  Senior Assistant Judge and was posted in Norail and then in Satkhira. In 2000 he was promoted to the rank of Joint District & Sessions Judge and worked in Dinajpur, Munsigonj and Comilla. He worked as Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in Comilla. In 2007 he was promoted to the rank of Additional District & Sessions Judge and worked in Jessore. In 2012 he was promoted to the rank of District & Sessions Judge and served in Jononirapotta Bighnokary Aporad Daman Tribunal in Sylhet.

 Mr. Islam worked on deputation as Senior Assistant Secretary with the Ministry of Law Justice & Parliamentary Affairs and as Director (Prosecution) with the Anti-Corruption Commission Bangladesh.  

Besides his regular duty Mr. Islam delivers lectures in different training centers as a guest trainer. He is one of the Trainers in Bangladesh on Countering Financing Terrorism & Combating Money Laundering. He is an examiner of National University of Bangladesh and also of Judicial Service Commission.

In his long 27 years career Mr. Islam received several professional trainings on Foundation Course, Survey & settlement, Judicial Administration, Land Administration & Management.

Mr. Islam is an eminant writer on legal matters. His books “Artha Rin Adalat Ainer Tukitaki” (law on loan court), “Paribarik Bisoyadir Ain Prononga” (law on family matters) and “Arpita Sompotti Prottorpon Ain Karjobidan” (law on return of vested property) are highly appreciated. Besides this, he writes Articles on legal matters in Dhaka Law Report and other Law Jurnals.

In Personal life Mr. Islam is married and father of a daughter. His wife Nasmina Nazib is a housewife and daughter is an univesity student in the department of arcitechture.
